Halloween is on the 31st of October.
On this day, children dress up in scary costumes :
skeletons, witches, black cats, monsters
and vampires.
They go "trick or treating" and ask people for sweets.
People also decorate their houses and make pumpkin lanterns called "Jack-o'-lanterns".
Halloween was originally a Celtic festival to scare ghosts and spirits.
Irish immigrants introduced Halloween to the USA in the 1800s.
